Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Gemuka Adventures guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. This is a day to relax and recover from your journey.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, start your Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari by departing for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds. Along the way, enjoy views of bustling Maasai villages and open plains. Once inside the park, you’ll enjoy a game drive with opportunities to spot a wide range of wildlife.

Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Today, you’ll head to the Serengeti. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll arrive at the vast Serengeti plains in time for an afternoon game drive, where you can spot big cats and possibly witness the Great Migration depending on the season.

Day 4 & 5: Full Days in Serengeti National Park

Spend two full days exploring the Serengeti. With morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have plenty of time to spot lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and more. The Serengeti is renowned for its wildlife diversity and stunning landscapes.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive, where you might spot the Big Five. The crater floor offers excellent chances to see lions, elephants, rhinos, and hippos.

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi

This morning, you’ll travel to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. In the afternoon, you’ll meet the Hadzabe, one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa, and learn about their traditional way of life.

Day 8: Walking Tour with Hadzabe and Transfer to Lake Manyara

Start the day with a morning walking tour with the Hadzabe people. Later, you’ll transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its unique landscapes, Manyara is famous for its flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and hot springs.

Day 9: Game Drive in Lake Manyara and Return to Arusha

On the last day of  Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, known for its beautiful lake views and diverse wildlife. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Arusha for a day room and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
